I remember as a child, watching my father drawing Robin Hood. It was so cool; I was amazed that he knew how create something like this, to pull it from his mind with paper and pencil. I think that might have been the first moment for me. It opened my eyes to art, to the understanding that somebody could create something meaningful to other people. My father had an idea in his mind and then he put it on a piece of paper and other people were affected by it. It helped me move from the mundane world of having things given to me into a creative world in which I can generate what I want. It was a riveting moment. It was a kind of ignition.
